The Reitdiep bicycle route is from our house 66.6 km long and takes you along beautiful villages in Groningen including nice terraces to relax and have a coffee or a beer.
With this bike route you explore the beautiful countryside north of the city of Groningen. From our house take first direction Noorddijk (photo Church) and follow a lovely country road and you will reach Zuidwolde (here you really need to relax on the terrace at "Moeke Vaatstra café and restaurant", a well known address north of the city). The route then takes you on and via Adorp to Garnwerd, a rustic village on the Reitdiep river with the beautifully located "Hammingh Café" where you can relax! The route continues via partly unpaved paths to the village of Aduarderzijl with its 50 inhabitants. You can reach the city of Groningen via Feerwerd and Dorkwerd. From there another 12 km and you are back to our bed and breakfast!
